3rd Annual Hamptons Wine & Tennis Mixed Doubles Invitational To Benefit The March Of Dimes
Presented by Cushman & Wakefield

Woodbury, NY – June 12, 2006 – On Saturday, August 5, 2006, nearly 100 affluent, influential, social and business leaders who live and work in the greater New York area and frequent the Hamptons will join together at the 3rd Annual Hampton Wine & Tennis Mixed Doubles Invitational to help the March of Dimes raise money to pursue its mission to fight premature birth.

Premature birth is a national health crisis, affecting more than 470,000 babies every year in the United States. It is the leading cause of death in the first month of life and a major cause of lifelong disabilities, including cerebral palsy, mental retardation, blindness and chronic lung problems. That is why the March of Dimes launched a multi-year, $75 million dollar campaign to educate women to the signs and symptoms of premature birth, and to raise the funds to conduct much needed research into the causes of prematurity. The goal of the campaign is to reduce the rate of premature birth by 15 % by 2010.

The round-robin tennis tournament will be held at the Racquet Club of East Hamptons, 151 Buckskill Road, East Hampton. Registration begins at 11:30am with the mixed doubles round-robin beginning at 1:00pm. The tournament semi-finals will consist of a net and gross bracket and will commence at 3:30pm, along with a festive wine-tasting. Numerous wonderful prizes will be raffled off at the conclusion of the finals.

This event is open to the public and all tennis enthusiasts are welcome to enter the tournament. A registration fee of $250.00 includes participation in the mixed doubles round-robin tournament, brunch and the wine tasting.

The 3rd Annual Hamptons Wine & Tennis Mixed Doubles Invitational will be made possible, in large part, by its sponsors. For information on sponsorship opportunities, or to register to play in the tournament, contact Susan Kornick, Director of Special Events at the March of Dimes, at (516) 496-8198 or via email at skornick@marchofdimes.com.

The organizing committee, chaired by Reba Miller of RPMiller and Associates and Jeff Ravetz of Lighthouse Real Estate Ventures, is comprised of individuals and companies in real estate, financial services, and other prominent businesses in the New York Metropolitan area.

The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose
mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
